It is suitable for the power systems of AC three-phase 50/60HZ and rated voltage 3-10kV. It is widely used in the urban power grid construction and transformation projects, industrial and mining enterprises, high-rise buildings, public utilities, etc. As a ring-network power supply unit and a terminal equipment, it plays the role of electric energy distribution and control as well as electrical equipment protection. It can also be installed in the prefabricated substation.

The inside of the ring main unit is fitted with the vacuum circuit breaker or the load switch, which is equipped with an electric operating mechanism that can be operated manually or electrically. The disconnecting switch and the grounding switch are equipped with a manual operating mechanism. The ring main unit is strong in completeness and small in volume, without combustion and explosion risks, and has reliable functions of "five prevention".

Due to the dual busbar scheme of this project and the limited space inside the cabinet, a switch combination device has been adopted. The device adopts a modular design: with a frame structure, and integrating the isolation switch, a sealed vacuum circuit breaker, grounding switch, interlocking mechanism, and operating mechanism into a high-performance miniaturized high-voltage electrical product. A single unit can be installed in a 500MM wide cabinet.
